An article over at BoingBoing piqued my interest this week about Four Deadly Distasters Caused by Food.

The London Beer Flood in 1814 killed eight people and spilled 3,500 barrels of beer. Thatand#8217;s an artists sketch to the left there of one of the vats before it ruptured.
I think itand#8217;s pretty apt to remember this tragedy in the lead up to Fatherand#8217;s Day this weekend in Australia and#8211; where a few too many and#8216;barrelsand#8217; of beer will no doubt be drunk!
