How to never dilute your smoothie with ice, ever again! | Fig and Cherry

Posted on October 25, 2012 by ChristieDrinks, Gluten Free, Kid friendly, Sweet Treats, Vegan, Vegetarian

Are you sick of your smoothies getting watered down by ice cubes? Me too, but donand#8217;t worry and#8211; Iand#8217;ve found a solution!

Simply make ice cubes out of milk and raw cacao (or cocoa powder) and jazz up a glass of milk or smoothie with ice cubes that will keep it chilled AND tasty. You can even eat the cubes on their own as a guilt-free treat, yum!

You donand#8217;t even have to follow my recipe. Get creative with your own flavours instead.

Love strawberry smoothies? Make a little extra next time and freeze them for your next smoothie. Love banana smoothies? Ditto.

Why not get crazy and add a little piece of fresh fruit into each one, blueberries spring to mind as the perfect size. You could even just make plain milk ones and use them in anything, the possibilities are endless!

Tiny milk bottles with thanks to Aunty V and the neck bling courtesy of my Mum.

Those little jewelled rings are actually meant for wine glasses so that you can tell which glass is yoursand#8230; BUT, I have been known to use them for parties and then get so drunk I canand#8217;t remember which colour I was using and#8211; which really defeats the purpose! (Shhh, donand#8217;t tell my Mum!).

Credit where credit is due. I grabbed inspiration for these ice cubes from a photo I saw on Pinterest. Surprised? I didnand#8217;t think so. Pinterest rules! If you are interested, you can check out my other pins here.

What flavour ice cube would you make to suit your favourite drink?
